Cannigione

Cannigione is a parish in the municipality of Arzachena, about 20 km from Olbia, in the north-east of Sardinia.

Situated on the Gulf of the same name, it started out as a fishing village but developed into a popular and well-known holiday resort.
A village that during the winter season has about 800 inhabitants, but in summer turns into a small ‘metropolis’ hosting tourists from all over the world.

Cannigione, thanks to the influence of the neighbouring Costa Smeralda, has managed to develop all the services necessary to meet the needs of holidaymakers, such as the numerous excursions by sailboat or catamaran to visit the wonders of the Maddalena archipelago, supermarkets open until 11 p.m., or restaurants preparing food until late at night.

The rest is provided by the beautiful Sardinian sea, the numerous beaches that can be found along the gulf, the cycle path that runs along the coastal road all the way from Cannigione to La Conia, the good food, excellent wines and the warm welcome of the local people.

Its location makes it an ideal starting point for visiting the Costa Smeralda, the Maddalena archipelago or northern Sardinia.
